A couple of frustrating seasons haven’t kept New Orleans Saints fans from crowding the Caesars Superdome, with ESPN reporting that the Saints enjoyed the twelfth-best home attendance in 2023. New Orleans averaged crowds of 70,020 spectators for home games last season, which was second-best in the NFC South behind the Carolina Panthers, and seventh-most in the NFC as a conference.

Of course these are the numbers of tickets sold and reported as attendance at the door, which might be juiced up from one team to the next. The Superdome was taken over by Detroit Lions fans and a weak resale market at midseason reflected fans’ waning confidence in the Dennis Allen-Derek Carr product. The Saints have only won a dozen games in front of their home crowd since Drew Brees hung up his cleats.

The Saints have a passionate fanbase, but they deserve a better product than what they’ve seen in recent years. Hopefully 2024 will bring better fortune. Here’s a look at all 32 teams’ average home attendance in 2023, according to ESPN:
